Thumb Knot for heavy leader

This simple but strong thumb knot provides a secure alternative to crimping when heavy leader material proves hard to cinch down with other knots. Shown here with 400lb Momoi to make my point about heavy line - and, OK - so that we 40 somethings can see it without reading glasses! Don't forget to lubricate the knot before cinching.

Triangler may be left handed...not sure, but looks just like a Uni-Knot or Longline knot we used to use on 500-700 lb mono, just looks different from another angle or perspective. Good knot none the less!!
