I called Mudhole today but didn't get ahold of anyone. I guess it is smart to just stick with the Aftco swivel tip after hearing some of the replies above. 80 bucks and spend it one time instead of buying a new tip again and again. Aftco it is for me!!!

    Dave,
I have used all of the brands of swivels and Aftco is the ONLY brand that I have not had a single issue with. What you will find tho is that when you go to put the top on, you will have to file or grind the taper of the blank to a point like you do with a pencil. A belt sander will work best for this. The taper of the ferrule of the swivel is rather sharp and the grinding will be needed to get the blank up into the top of the ferrule.

Good luck and a wise decision.
    Kevin
