suggestions for a 50 + class standup blank for BFT

I really like the Calstar Boomer series .. the Boomer Jr is a 50-100 class rod and the Baja Boomer is the 60-130 .. we use the Baja Boomer with either Aftco wind on or Winthrop Express guides and have landed bluefin up to 600lbs and blue marlin up to 700lbs on them .. they have proven to be unbreakable and are very reasonably priced ..

Why an 80?? I can get 600 yds of 130# JB hollow and a 150 yd topshot of 130# Momoi Diamond on my Avet 50W with well over 30# of drag available. The 30W Avet holds 600yds of 100# JB Hollow and 100yds of 80# Momoi diamond. An 80 sucks for standup being much bigger and heavier than really needed.

why an 80.... I actually have the same question.... However, it is because my father is sick of the 50's, I dont want to fish the 130's and he owns 80's.
