Standup 50 Class Video Build Step x Step

Guys, I am gonna put this up and when the build is complete, I will consolidate all of the video's into one post that will house all of the videos for that particular Build. That way, you won't have to go from thread to thread or page to page to get them to view. I hope that makes sense.
Anyone have any better ideas? Im beyond tired!!
The lower 2 are the new videos! Enjoy!

Im gettin the hang of the introductions!!! This stuff is really fun!!!!!

Some of this initial stuff can be very boring for those that have built before. We are thru that now and the threadwork and inlay work will begin tomorrow!
Tomorrow the threadwork and wrapping starts. oh yeah, abalone inlays also...

The build is progressing nicely, Buttwraps are next and they look AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!
ONCE THE VIDEO IS PLAYING, DOUBLE CLICK THE VIDEO AND IT WILL BE A LARGER SCREEN!! ALSO, HIT THE HD BUTTON

    UNDERWRAPS AND TRIM TABS

Dude, that tape trick on the grips is the heat. I would have never thought to cover the grips during the gluing process. I always tried to be careful but invariably always got a spot or two on the grips, and had to spray alcohol and wiped the heck out of it to get it off. Can't wait for the next video. Thanks for taking the time to post all these videos!!

To borrow from Mr. 'BOX; I'm Speechless. Years of experience and know-how being posted for our education at no cost and no obligation. Are SFC and it's members the best thing on the innerneck or what?

Another question. You said "Abrasive reamer" for working the inside diameter of the grips. All the reamers I work with are tool steel and would grab that grip and shred it, probably taking your hand along for the ride. I even checked my MSC catalog.... I couldn't find such a thing in the machinery world. Where does one get an abrasive reamer?

Is it tapered or straight, and how critical is the reamer diameter for fitting the grip to the blank correctly? I'm assuming you don't have a reamer for every possible blank so would you go undersize and just keep working it, or oversize and work fast before it removes too much material?

Okay, maybe more than one question....

Thanks again for taking the time.
IE8 says this may be a phishing site....Well, DUH!!!!!!... Stupid jerks can't even spell fishing right.

Click on the photo to see a larger picture of it.

Above is the link to the reemers. I have the reemers without the handles on them and that way I can put them into the lathe. No, not every grip needs to be reemed out. Some fit better than others and some days I have more energy than others. When the grip isn't reemed out, there is the slight risk of a hernia trying to put that grip down the blank!
Having the lathe has enabled me to use it as a crutch and I use it when I can. With those grips or any EVA or HYPALON grip, for that matter, you want the grip to go 2/3 of the way down the blank, freely. Then you mark the blank where it sits without gripping and then coat the blank from the top mark down to where you want the grip to be in final placement. THERE WILL BE GLUE WASTED, BUT THAT IS A FACT OF LIFE. ITS BETTER TO HAVE MORE THAN NOT ENOUGH ON THERE BECAUSE IF THE GRIP IS NOT SLIPPERY ENOUGH, A RAZORBLADE CUTING IT OFF IS THE RESULT....... THAT OR A HERNIA PULLING IT OFF AGAIN.
I am wholesale with most companies. If you guys need parts, let me know as I can save you a little bit of money.

    Kevin
