    Shimano Torsa's

Has anyone had any problems with the Torsa 30's from Shimano, I have 24 of them and had 7 break down with drag problems. I have to return them back to Shimano.
I have 32 trinidads and not one has ever been back to the factory for anything, never been opened ever and never failed. Had these trinidads since they first came out. Im interested to see if anyone else is having problems with these torsa's as im not happy with them breaking.
Dont get me wrong here the reels are great when they work but one brand new on out the box and the drag is all screwed up is not acceptable.

    Wow

Wow 24 Torsa's! Impresive! I know of a 68 Viking that had them and switched over to the Tyrnos 30's.

The Tyrnos are sweet reels. I think they switched because of the drags. The mate on my boat brother worked the viking down in costa rica and he said they were "junk". I have never used them but this is just what i heard.

Could not agree more with you all teh trinidad 30's i got have never been opened failed or been back to the shop in over 5 years.
Im looking to upgarde the drags however not sure what upgarde they have since we get into some swordies and bigger stripe marlin models I prefer a better drag and only why i went with the Torsa's.
If any of you know of a good drag system or upgarde please let me know.

I'd take a look at the Tyrnos 2 speeds. They have them in four sizes now. 12, 16, 20, and 30. 33lbs of drag out of the box.

Thanks I wil check into it ASAP maybe switch out the Torsa's , they have great drags when working but very bulky for a 30 to cast.
    Thanks for the info
