shimano stradic 4000 vs. sustain 4000

I am about to buy a new reel for my g loomis GL2 rod. I have always used shimano reels but I haven't really done a comparison between the stradic 4000 and sustain 4000. I just wanna know if it is worth the extra cash to buy the sustain. It is about a 70 dollar difference but is it truly worth it? Thanks in advance guys!!!

The Sustain has a titanium coated spool lip and 2 extra bearings. It will cast a tad bit farther and will also be a bit smoother. Other than that, they are the same reel. Is it worth the difference? That's something that you'll have to decide after you get your hands on both of them inside a store.

Is it worth it is only something you can answer for yourself. If you have the money then it is definitely worth it but if you are on a tight budget then it is not. But the old addage -- you get what you pay for -- hold true with everything including reels. The Sustain is definitely a better reel.

    Stradic or Sustain

Depends on your fishing application. What kind of fishing are you doing and what are you fishing for?

Well I ended up buying a sustain on ebay and it is working out really nice. I put it on a 7'6" g loomis popping rod and it will be used for backwater/flats fishing. I do bring it offshore in case we get into dolphin and I feel like giving it a run. Got a few snook on it already but nothing huge yet.
