Shell Squid Inserts?

All - what do you guys insert into plastic shell squids when you are rigging them on a spreader bar (or daisy chain)? I've done a couple with the octopus skirts, and I just add a crimp and a bead and they run great. But what about the bigger heads in the shell squids? I'm guessing you need to insert something to help the squid hold it's shape - don't you??

No spray, get the pre-made tubes that will fit into the squid you are using HD should have anything from 1/2" - 2".
