    Shark stick

I have a tiagra 30lws with 1000 yards of 80lb braid on, its sitting doin nothing at the moment , had an idea to turn it into a full time shark set up, what top shot would you guys put on this? and more important what stick would you use with this, i'm thinkin slightly longer than the norm might even go to 7 foot, nice and forgiving at the boat for those ugly lunges. I do not want to spend a fortune, any Ideas?? I tend to fish alone and would like to use wind on leaders Cheers

For stand up shark fishing, I personally use a 6' or 6.5' rod. I've caught a number of them on this. I also use it for stand up tuna fishing too.

Oh and by the way............a harness works great. I had an approx 11' thresher shark on last year and didn't have a harness on..............well lets just say that my shorts had ventilation and I was sore for awhile!!

Paul I was thinking of trying to pick up a mass produced stantard rod as it will only get fished 2-3 times a year, your rods look stunning and I will be in contact with you soon I hope for a full boat setup, doing some numbers with a guy in greece for a drummond sf, and or a Rodman 1250 sf, have not made my mind up yet, I know 2 totaly different boats but we will see, which the lady will except, but will need, I think about 12 sticks to start, will pm you when time comes for more imput as to what mix I should be looking at. Tried running a thread here to see what guys would start out with as a mix got no replys.
