    Setting up the drag baby!

All of us at one point or another have been guilty of setting the drag too tight, too loose or forgetting to do it all together.......or its just me.

I am looking for methods people use to set drags as well as how much to set for different types of fish (Stripers, Tuna, Shark, etc...)

Any input would be appreciated on this educational thread.

if everything is well matched, then you're looking at 25-33% of line weight for a drag setting. use either a scale or an old bleach bottle with a hole cut in it so that you can toss in lead weights.
