My dad and I gave my uncle a 6/0 last summer, which has not been used much, but no problems. On the first trip he went on with us he complained the reel's anti reverse wouldn't catch, so I told him to leave it with me and I would check it out. I opened it up and voila there was no spring for the anti-reverse dog. Looked everywhere in the reel and it just wasn't there. Anyway I have had trouble finding the part, can you help.

Well yes I have seen this but you must be tuff on your reels I lost one in a week long story short to rapair just go to the hardware store and buy a screw.

Shipped the reel's to Penn last week. Been on the phone with Tom, he hasn't recieved them yet. Looking forward to the outcome.
"don'thaveaboat" no I'm not hard on my gear. My stuff looks like new after year's of use. These reels made one trip, when the problem came about. I got too much time and money invested trying to catch fish to abuse any thing. The reason I posted this problem is the fact that I never have had any trouble out of Penn gear, while commercial hook fishing. I probably cycled my reels more in one season than most will in a life time. My reels lasted for several season's without a glitch. Senator's have served me well.

Talked with Tom this morning and he has deviesed a plan to get me back up and running. Seem's that we have another part's out sourcing issue (part's not made in the USA). No suprise that they are made in another Communist Country. Way to go, who's rocket scientist idea was that? Any how it look's like I will have a very timely complete repair. Got my reels back today. Guess everthing worked out. Thank's to Tom,(tightlines58), for the personal interest taken in my problem with Penn Reels.
