Scotty clips

i am looking for scotty clips to use with planer boards. does anyone have a preference on a certain model that has held up good. thanks

1177 clips are pricey but they work well for me. Alltackle carries them and with more you buy the price per each goes down so get all you will need the first time. Little bluefish and stripers have trouble popping them so in the early fall with lighter baits I clip the line right at the tip of the clip instead of all the way back like I would in the spring. Ive had the clip pop on fish and trash and the clip flies off the planer board line from the pressure so get a few extra and replace the shower curtain hanger on them with a snap swivel.
