had the chance to hit a open house at at a rodbuilders warehouse in NY wednesday. there were about 20 or so reps/dealers with some great new products and some good old reliable stuff, to pull on and droll over, spoke with the aftco rep Greg about the OR clips, that was written about here. hopefully the problem is solved and, everyone has gotten the old replaced..the new clips seem to work VERY well. They are also coming out with a "NEW" belt/harness for standup.seems nice, The Lamiglas stuff usually get my attention. this time was no different..Todd Vivian was actually there. its nice to talk direct to the guys rather than over the phone..he had brought the "NEW" tuna Jigging blanks. i just got mine a few weeks before. these are worth looking into if you want a serious (short) jigging stick. Yes i sell the JiggingMaster. But i like the lami stuff, and its good, also the "NEW" kayak series Blanks.7' 6" long, for a lighter FUN striper rod..these look like a winner, they are made to be highsticked..we had them bent in a U at the tip poking the tent. the "NEW" red power pro was there..i guess its nice..i am not a big PP fan. Braid was there ALOT of Nice new JIGS..and the usual braid stuff. it was hard for me to look at much more than the Jigs. Seeker had the "NEW" super seeker blanks.still in limited supply. i thought i was going to be more impressed, the guys using them really like them..i only got to see the lighter stuff and 2 tuna blanks..which are nice, but the lighter stuff. well, i didnt bring any home.. Staurt was there with their saltwater butts.this may be good for a future project that is being worked now..anyone looking for a KICKASS short stroker tuna rod call for info. before i anounce it here
.some of the guys know..just getting it PERFECT..need input. Spro had a great setup .again " NEW" Jigs and a few new colors of the bucktails. with a good supply of the 6oz. then there was the stuff inside a TON of blanks i did bring a few of the blanks home that are not avail in production rods. great bucktail rods..and a few oldground/ fluke...alot more there, just dont want to bore you to much .hope you like the report, there is alot of good stuff to look forward to
