    Rod Wrapper Suggestions

I have been using my neighbors basic manual wrapper and base model drying motor to do my feather inlays. The short of it is, that I need to give it back.

I want to get something, maybe a power wrapper? but don't have any experience with them so I don't know what to get. I have one good recommendation from a freind, but looking for a few more, just to make sure I invest wisely.

    Any help?

there are a few GOOD wrappers, most of them look the same.
some wrap from the front some from the back
what style have you been using?
the clemmens or renzetti are "the best"
the pacbay, amtac, ect are GOOD.
some have better or "upgraded" chucks
i would get a wrapper AND a drying setup separate

Let me narrow it down. I would be building 20 rods or less a year. What's a good fit that use?

do you want or NEED power?
you may not need a power for 20 rods
the power wrapper is great for the long under wraps
but sometimes with PIA GUIDES you do it by hand anyway
if you have the budget go for it
most "midrange" price wrappers are close in quality
whatever you get, try to get a spool holder that tightens the spool. and the thread doesnt run thru a wheel
if you need help getting one i may be able to help. just let me know
