    Question Rod guide replacemtnt

I have a 12' spinning rod to reeplace guides on but instead of thread wrapping it appears to be some sort of shrink tubing. Any hints and also where to buy this stuff?

Shrink tubing on the guides??? It's thread, it has to be. Shrink tubing on the guide feet wouldn't work because the tubing would keep the finish from adhering the guidefoot to the rod. Can you post a picture of it?

    Rod guides

Thanks much! you were 100% right. What I thought was shrink tube was actually flex... over the thread to hold guides. I cut one apart and found what you were talking about.
    Thanks again,
