I have a few freshwater poles that I would like to replace and re-wrap the guides. The poles are light and medium action:
What thread size and type would you recommend?
Any help with thread sizes and type would be welcome.

Gudebrod size "A" is best for the freshwater rods.
Good luck!!
size A is the thinner thread, size D is thicker.
for lighter freshwater rods thinner thread is usually used.
for new guys sometimes the slightly thicker thread is easier to work with.
using NCP thread you wont have to use color preserver.
If you use nylon you may need color preserver. unless using black.
CP is another step in the process.
