Rod For Avet Lx

A buddy of mine is getting a rod for his Lx for christmas from his girlfriend and he asked me what rod he should ask her to get. Problem is they have a $120 dollar limit, I have both of mine on seekers so I really don't know what to tell him because those are way above that price. Anyone out there have any suggestions because i don't know what to tell him.

Im pretty sure hes rigging it up with JB to use for jigging offshore and probably large live baiting stripers.

I had my Avet LX's matched up with Star Aeriel's. The 20 -50 had some good backbone. It isn't a butterfly jigging stick. But it will work well for live bait for stripers or cod jigging.

Shimano Tallus. 17-30. Great rods. Tough guides. Great price for the quality. I think you can still get them around 100 bucks or so.

hard to use the same rod for jigging and live baiting....two totally different actions for each one. LX is a little large for jigging in my opinion anyway.

Shimano Trevala is a good entry level jigging rod for about his budget.

I would look at lamiglas rods for the striper live baiting.
