Rigging "Double Trouble" Leader For Kite Rig

How to, why to, and any other tips would be appreciated. Couldn't really find anything on the Google.
    Thanks in advance.

Two kite baits on the same leader(badass) or two hooks in same bait(big squid)? Sorry about grammer, on my phone.

    Thanks for the reply.
My answer is I'm not entirely sure.
I just keep seeing kite fishing tuna reports that mention "double trouble rig" as well as "double sardine rig" (though I'll be fishing with caballitos).
I don't think they mean two hooks in one bait. It's probably two baits on one leader or I guess it could be two baits on two leaders from the same mainline??? Actually that sounds likes it's already tangled. Any ideas?

I was under the impression that it is 2 baits (sardine), 2 hooks (one in each bait), 2 short leaders (3-4 feet) connected to a 3-way swivel and main leader. I'm not a long range expert so I could be mistaken.

The reason this works is that is increases you chance of getting bit, like pulling 2 jigs instead of one. This rig is used on the kite and balloon, typically while the boat is anchored up.

Start with a 300lb BB swivel.
Crimp 2 leaders to the bottom ring.
Each leader is 200lb test, 2-3 feet long.
On the bottom of each leader, crimp an 8/0 circle hook.
Crimp entire rig to your main line.

Add 2 sardines and send it out under a helium balloon or kite.

Fish with your reel in gear.

If you want to fish this rig east coast style, pin on 2 squid and float it out into a school of boiling tuna, like the ones you might see off the Cape. Tie on your 17" helium balloon with a double #32 rubber band about 12 feet above the bait. You will out-fish anyone else trying to troll around you, as long as you have the squid for bait.

    Reporting Back...

    as promised.
Flew double troubles, trolled, chunked, jigged, popped, and everything else I could think of for six tuna to 50 lbs at El Banco 1/15-1/18. Double trouble rig looked great under the kite unfortunately the tuna were eating 1 inch squid and showed no interest. The seiners probably didn't help much either. Only one tuna came on bait. Well, two. Hooked the one I was looking for (and then some) sleepy and exhausted at 2am the night of the 15th only to pin him to the rudder after an hour and already ten minutes into big deep circles.
If I'd known the night of the 14th my dance partner for the
15th, I'd have found my own pillow at some point.
