    Ribbonfish rigs ???

Does anyone have a good source for wire. All that is available in my neck of the woods is coffee colored. I need to find someone who carries silver to match the ribbon! (by the way, caught about 30 last night up to 38-40". Dang them things got some teeth)
    Thanks for the help!

The last i got I thing I got it at Boaters World. Since Meltons is a sponser on this site you might want to try them. I am not sure but I think the wire I got was 65lb. silver titanium. I will check my tackle bag when I go to my truck and repost the brand and exactly what it is.

Finally caught a break today and found some after 30 minutes on the phone and another 30 online. Not titanium but stainless. Thanks for the reminder on Meltons. I'm getting to the point where I'm NEEEEDing lots of hard to find items in my area. Stuff I'm sure I can find here on this site!

The wire I bought was the stainless #5 44lb wire. It is made by American Fishing line in PA. It is toothproof stainless. I did not get the titainium due to the price. I also get the #4 stainless hooks. I only use the ones I make once thn chunk them unless I fun fish with them. I don't trust using a used rig for tournament fishing. I do my king rigs the same way. I don't know what kind of fish you are targeting with ribbon fish but we are targeting Kings and the 44lb wire has held up with no bite thrus. I had what i guess to be a large shark straighten the jig head pulling hook and then bit thru the wire before the first trebel. It felt like a shark due to the head shakes over the course of the fight.

They are for my buddie that fishes the SKA, Billy Wummer. Been having a problem with the pre-mades so he asked me rig them up for him.
I got #6, and #4 & 5 to the jighead. I'll probably be fishing my first SKA open in Jan. out of Key West. If I'm not working a show somewheres. If so i promised I'd hook him up with a couple killer ##'s. We get a lot of big fish late winter/ early spring pushing or exceeding 60 fairly often...
