    Retying Sailures

Does anybody know how to take apart an Iland Sailure so the hair can retied then put back together. I know can be done but have no idea where to start taking them apart.

You pretty much need to cut the silver band that holds the hair on... O-SEA-D put up a great thread on retying islanders... Not too different...http://www.sportfishermen.com/2007/10/retying-ilanders/

Thanks CLt_Capt, I took a look at O-Sea-D's article. That article is great for the regular ilander but for the Sailures you take it apart before you can cut that plastic or metal pieces that attaches the hair to the lure. I know it can be done, I have seen retied Sailure but I can't figure you how to take them apart I will upload some pics of the Sailure and see if anybody has an ideas.
