Rerigging Manns stretch 30's

Redoing the Manns stretch 30's changing all the hook split rings to 255 lb SPRO
taking off the lip split ring using 105 lb single wire and a 300 lb SPRO swivel. Ya its work but worth it

Interesting.. you had many split ring failures? I've never had a problem with them, the hooks yes, they're weak and will open quite fast if the drag is tight, but I'm yet to have a split ring fail on me. Usually end up getting water inside the stretch 30 or they bust up the swimming after some fish.

Ive had the split rings and hooks fail. I always change the split rings and the hooks to owner 4x. Even then, I've had a fish break one in half!
