What kind (brand) of blank is it? Your best option is to send it back and they will replace it under warranty. If not, the only other option is to wrap it with thread and finish it, but even then, there are no guarentees.

You might want to try to find that out, or you might be able to contact someone at lamiglass and see if they will sell you a tip that will fit, but that will require you so send it to Woodland Washington for the fitting. Just an option, and a stab in the dark.

Sounds like your going to have to grind it off(sometimes you get lucky and it will pry off, starting where it's split) and replace,of course very very carefully.
Once you get most off it ground off,(to the point where it's so thin you can cut with a knife) then cut it and gently start prying the remainder off with a very small flat screwdriver or similar,or whatever works ...
Then you'll have to sand the old glue off to get to the blank..sometimes there is alot of glue under those ferrules so you can go ahead and grind it all right off without harming the blank, then sand remainder of glue off..
Ready for new ferrule and back in the saddle! Good luck...if the rod caught alot of fish, its sure worth all the work & time then!!

I think that this is an internal ferule, not an external, Arm. Inless I am thinking of something different. I know the really old blanks have external metal ferrules, but the crack tells me it is internal and part of the blank.

I've dealt with it before. I epoxied the crack and it cracked again. I double wrapped it and finished without CP and it lasted a season and was back on my doorstep again like a bad case of hemeroides. I finally sent it back to the manufacturer and got a replacement. The guy didn't want to part with the rod and lose it in the mail. I got the new section and it didn't come back.

This rod is different in that it is not known who the manufacturer is. You might want to try double wrapping the ferrule and finishing it. Then, pick your battles when fishing it and maybe ask for a replacement with a forlorn look on your face. Fathers day is coming up?!?!?!?!
