You can apply light heat from a lighter or blow dryer in the tag end area so the finish softens up a little then take a razor blade and cut one or two turns of thread and unwind from there by hand. How bad did it bleed? You could always change overwrap colors?!

Especially if it was recently applied, you should be able to scrape most of it off with a plastic scraper. Use a fine abrasive or steel wool to remove any residue or stubborn spots...you'll be re-covering with flex-coat anyway. Did you use thread sealer before the flex coat? With light colored thread, sometimes a double wrap with size A and then size D thread will prevent any bleed. Joe

Ya it bled pretty bad. I did put 2 coats on my underwraps(yellow) on matte black blank, then when i did my test and it bled i put another coat on. After a 12 hr. shift i only tested a small area, went to bed then got up and flexcoated. I thought it would be ok,dumb ass me. After looking at my book i should have thinned the brilliance 2 with denatured alcohol.
Thanks for the info i think i'm going to tear it down and use gold metalic.
