    Reel stuck from saltwater fishing

Pretty much a newb with fishing. So a while back I was saltwater fishing and salt got into my reel and it is stuck and the line won't reel.. I was told I would have to completely remove the line and put new line on... So far I removed the line.. Before I replace it I am wondering how to clean and if I should use any sorts of chemicals to get the salt out/? Can someone give me some instructions on how to get the salt out so it is no longer stuck?

    Yeah, I can.

Since you are very new to this and didn't know to rinse your reel off with freshwater after every use, (When practical.), your reel sounds like it now has internal corrosion issues and at least needs serviced of not repaired.

If I were you I'd take it to the nearest tackle shop and get them or whoever they use to servicxe the reel.

Just for conversation's sake, what kind of reel is it? make and model?

    FISH HARD!
