quick question about tiger wraps

Hey, I am learning how to do a tiger wrap and have a quick question.

I am using white and black underwraps for the tiger wrap. Should I use color preserver for the madeira thread on this section, or does the dulled down look of just adding the finish help the tiger wrap pop? Just wondering if I should use color preserver or not...or if it matters. Thanks!

CP always helps. I have built some rods without cp but they always dull. For the extra hour of dry time do the right thing and add it. The brighter the color the more it will stand out.
