I don't think Melton, Capt Harry's and J&M Tackle have Pakula Softease Fangs. Please make sure they are this range:

I think Charkbait is the only store carrying them at this stage.

I think you are right about my sources on the fang series. I am familiar with Charkbait and have purchased from them in the past as well. I will get on it right away.

**just finished ordering the Mouse, Phantom, Mouse and Rat Frigate fang series from Charkbait, even saw a picture of you signing their first dollar! I already own the other lures you mentioned (in the original hard resin format) Looking forward to putting them to work!

thanks again for sharing your insight!

    Robert,

Thanks for the shot of that nice tuna and a blue and white ProSquid ProBar. That happens to be the exact bar that converted me and my Cabo crew from trolling spreads of ballyhoo that we had to import 4,000 miles from Florida to Pro and regular SuperBars. As you know, the ProSquids are shaped almost exactly like ballyhoo and they make for a dynamite immitation of them that every pelagic that we have ever fished them around jumped all over. And because those bars handle much higher speeds than I was ever able to consistently troll real ballyhoo at, they found and caught fish for us that we likely never would have gotten fishing the real meat. And while the blue and white ones did a job for us, the fact that these "fake ballyhoo" came in other hot colors also helped them perform so well. The hot pink and purple were especially good colors for us. There were more advantages, but a tremendously important one to us was the BIG savings we made by using the artificials over and over and over again, instead of the naturals that blew out, got trashed by trash fish, only lasted for one or maybe two trips, and each one had to be rigged and a lot more that added up to wasted time and money. In only a few trips, the artificials had paid for themselves in ballyhoo money saved.

Whether I made them or not, I promise you, I'd be trolling SuperBars wherever the heck I was fishing.

Capt Fred, after reading your books a couple years ago, I quit fishing frozen dead ballyhoo and switched over to Prosquids and similar imitations. If real ballyhoo are better, I sure can't tell it! your books gave me the confidence to make the switch, than you for that as it has saved me lots of money and tons of hassle!
