    popping rod

This is a rod I built a while back and thought I would post a picture. It is a 7ft light spinner that I like for light popping applications as well as smallmouth. The blank is a castaway MB842 that has a very light tip, yet has a nice backbone. The reelseat/handle material is eva and the design is the SBSS(sticks and bones spinning seat) of my design.

    Popping rod

Very nice, after 30 years I still have soooo much to learn still. I am working on a RX6 SP843 by Batson, inshore popping rod for my own use.
