    Yes, they are the same one I had at the CR Seminar! I added the diamond wrap to the one wit the silver rollers Sunday and got them both epoxied. One more coat to do, but my Bluefine and Yellowfin decals won't be in until Thurs.

    I'm curious as to why you selected full length blanks and trimmed as opposed to their IGFA stubbies?

    The stubbies are 3'7" usually. Most of the guys I read about and talked to liked a planer rod to be around 4' from reel to tip. The stubbies are too short for that!

    For the 60-130 that I trimmed, I had to use a full size blank and trim it from the tip and butt. The stubby version of that one would have been too short for the guy if I trimmed back from the tip.

    My friend had a planer rod already; it looked like a 130 stubby, very short and stiff, didn't flex very much at all! He said it was very hard to see the bites with it and wanted a longer, 80# class blank used.

    Gottcha. That's what I figured, in that you had a client that wanted a smaller tip.
