Yes i use pin rigs on sails... Most with a 1/4 to 3/8 ounce egg under the chin...

Been working on a whole lot of books. Wanted to do one just of fishing stories but got carried away and diverted to make a trilogy of fiction books involving drug smugglers, murder, arms dealers... Almost like a Travis Magee series... I laid off for a couple years and Put together a big book that I was going to call blue water memory maker... It was a collection of three short stories about my favorites from several species of fish. I was pretty well done with it and then decided to bust that book apart into two books. One about the big offshore fish then another called "Little Fish Need Love Too" dealing with the fun but often overlooked "other" species... Now I'm in the process of whipping together enough shorts to fill both books.
Considered doing a how to book but never really got around to it. If I did write it it might wind up with a title like. "BULLSHIT" The inside look at really works and what is just hype...
The pin rig debate would be a perfect entry in that... You know I'm pretty old school and if it works why change it... Lots of things like that could fill volumes. I would have to format it as ... This is how some people do it and then this is how I do it. List out benefits of both and why I chose to do it one way over another. That though is just my opinion... I could be wrong!

Same here man, you have to re-rig after each trip to aviod any failures or eye sores on the leaders that the fish can see.
