It paid off as every fish we caught that weekend came on that lure! There were just under 500 anglers fishing and 41 billfish caught, we caught and released a white marlin on Saturday, also on the LR Phenom. It was my nephews first billfish and he was stoked! Yesterday after a weeks rest I went back out by myself and once again the Phenom was the lure! It caught the wahoo in the brief video as well as a few smaller dolphin. I am not sure if it's the lure or the overall pattern of lures and teasers that are working, but Peter's Phenom has become my new "hot" lure with a Pakula Mouse and Sprocket in the mix as well! One thing I have noticed about Peter's designs is, they almost always run correctly on just about any sea condition and speed above 5 knts and under 8 knts. I can't say that for many other designs!
After seeing some free jumping Yellowfin I put one of Fred's superbars out on shotgun and caught a nice YF.
I can honestly say that all the information that Peter has put on the web is invaluable! Same goes for Capt Fred and his ebooks!
