Has anyone had one break on them ?
My buddy had two snap while fishing for BFT two weeks ago.
These fish were in the 50 to 60 in range.
He sent them back and were replaced.
Just curious if anyone else had a problem.

You would think with the Penn name on it, you would have a quality product. They dont give them away.
All the reel manufacturers are trying to get into the jigging game as it picks up in popularity here in the USA, they assume there customers who buy their reels will buy these rods to compliment their reels as a package. They are giving everyone "if you break it, we will replace it warranty" but what good does that do you when the rods don't perform.
Accurate, Quantum, Penn and Shimano they are all in the jigging game now. To date the only successfull one at implimenting a full system has been shimano. They have the single best set of spinning reels available today in the Stella series, great jigs and the whole vertical jigging system down but the USA the Trevalla rods fall short as well IMHO.
Little know fact that Shimano overseas has a kick ass set of jigging rods that beat huge fish fast but they arent sold domestically unless you get them from an importer Liek Anglers Pro Shop in Brooklyn.
Jigging rods are a specialty item if you are doing the jerk/crank balanced butterfly type technique, I would strongly suggest looking into a higher end rod that you can aquire through Anglers Pro Shop in Brooklyn, Kilsongs Shop in NJ or for a custom JPR rods. They all carry adequate jigging products for tuna etc
Thanks everyone, appreciate it.
