    Penn Torque 300 star drag

Aside from jigging, can the reel be used as a trolling - stand up reel.
I'm planning on using it for jigging, but would like to use it for other styles.
    Any thoughts ?

    TRQ300

The reel is limited only by its line capacity, which is 450 yards of 80-pound Berkley Big Game Braid solid, or 300 yards of 65-pound Berkley Big Game Braid solid plus a 125 yard topshot of 50-pound Berkley Big Game mono.
    You can calculate from there.
Besides both California-style and Japanese-style jigging, I have used my TRQ300 for everything from trolling jigs and pitching live mackerel to striped marlin, fly-lining live sardines or "stroke-trolling" hoochies for yellowfin tuna, and even casting lighter California jigs known as "surface iron" for big yellowtail.
No reel in the world does everything, and I prefer the smaller TRQ200 for most surface iron applications, and the little TRQ100 when flylining tiny live anchovies for albacore.
I also prefer a 2-speed reel for tuna over 100 pounds, no matter what they are biting on.
However, the TRQ300 does do many things well.
