Penn Spinfisher 1960s

Just thought I'd share this with you guys. I took my dad's Penn spinfisher 704 from late 60s early 70s and opened it up today. This thing is a BEAST. 35- 40 years of hard use in the suds and on boats. Never been serviced or cleaned. Only rinsed with fresh water. NOTHING IS CORRODED. I thought I was going to have to at least replace something. The bearing looks like the reel was bought today. I just got excited over seeing a reel this old in such good condition. I'll see about getting pics. Sorry for wasting 60 seconds of your life, Fintan

I have a pair of the old green 710's. May not be the purtiest or smoothest but, damn, they are old workhorses that I still use. Keepem clean, replace the drag washers with teflon & they'll last forever!

Dude I have two 700 & six 704s & three 710s from that era just love them bought them in highschool 1974-1977 great reels will never sell them
