    Penn LongBeach 60

Took one apart and this piece fell out? anyone know what it is or where it goes? The schematic does not show it. Could it be a really old version of the dog spring, part#14-99?

boy, that's really wierd! that's a 6/0 penn 114h-style dog spring. no telling how it got there, but it doesn't belong. the long beach 60 uses a 4/0 penn 113h-style spring. totally different. alan

    A few other questions...

ON this reel, per the schematic, one can purchase the following parts:

    62-309 Click Spring
    63-209 Click Spring Screw

ON my reel, it looks as if the Clickspring is riveted onto the side plate. No where is there a screw that I can find that would release it from the side plate. What gives?

Also, the clicker button seems to be attached/riveted to the clicker tongue?? Per the parts list at pennparts.com, both should be seperable? I'm confused.

While I've got it apart, I'm thinking about putting on part#98-60AT along with the 6-60SP HT-100® Drag Washer Kit. Any other recommendations you can give before parts are ordered and assembled?

I'm also going to upgrade the handle to part#24-56. Do i need a different size sleeve part#9-60? What will changing from stock gain me?

Thanks...I know it is a lot of questions.
