So I think I lucked out yesterday. I was working on getting reels ready for the season and I came across an old reel that didnt work and a nice rod that it was on. Well, I couldnt get the reel loose off the rod. So my boss said you can have it, take it home and get it loose. So I had to use vice grips and about 5-10 mins of jerking body weight power to get it loose. So I pretty much throw the old reel away.

Later that day I went to a buddy of mines house. His dad builds custom rods (he builds a lot of the head boats rods for around here) and he also has a collection of reels. I found a 6/0 that I liked and told my buddy who doesnt know much about reels, that I would buy it from him for 30 dollars. The reel was slightly used, but had a broken handle. So I said if you want the money now, I want a new handle. So we found a brand new handle and put that on.

Well point of the story, I got a used working like new cond Penn 6/0 for 30 dollars. Not bad I dont think. haha
