    Outrigger Questions

I am buying this Mako 261B and it has outrigger bases. I do not know what type they are or what mounts are compatible with them. The mounts have apparently been cut off. I will need riggers and could use suggestions as to compatible models.

As far as poles go, I have no bridges or anything to require clearance for.

Here is a photo of it (I still am not very clear on the photo posting. Please let me know if this does not work)

Ok so you have the mounting pads in the top.

Rupp , Lee, or Taco outriggers will work for you

Here is a set that we shipped today, they are very nice and way cheaper than Lee's and Rupps

The kits come with poles and everything you need

15' or 18' are the normal options. Kind of all depends on your trolling setup and intentions

I can post up the others later but i gives you a good starting point.

    Outrigger mounts

    Bubba

Looks like they are rail mounted to the grab rail on your top.

That is not a very strong installation.

I would go with a lighter and shorther rigger set with that mount set up. Check for stress or fatigue in the rail/mounts first.

If you ever want to go with bigger riggers/mounts, there are mounting plates welded into your top on either side of your electronics box.

What model do you reccommend for my situation?

If you had actually fixed it it would show the picture, like this:

I would go with Lee Sidewinders mounted to the plates on either side of the electronics box.
