Smile Opinions on new Profile Gold Steel Rods...

I am looking at buying a couple of relatively inexpensive rods. They are Profile Gold Steel Rods, http://www.profilefishingtackle.com/...steelrods.html, This is the website. More specifically I am looking at the 30-80lb. Stand-up. Has anyone used these rods and how are they? I have done some research but they seem to be extremely new because I can only find one or two articles on them from a Florida sportfishing website. Which makes sense because these rods are made in South Florida. They both say the same mumbo jumbo about how great they are, blah blah etc. etc. It looks like the owner wrote the reviews and they are almost identical to what is said about them on their website. So if anyone has anything to say about them or maybe other recommendations, they would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks in advance!

"Fantastic Action Rods built from the latest development in metallic fibre technology.
Light yet strong with tip action and pulling power.
The golden metallic thread blank looks like a million dollars, but is rugged and dependable.
The added diamond wrap make these rods SPECIAL for every angler."

Latest development in metallic fibre technology? WTF is that?

Golden metallic thread blank? WTF is that?

Diamond wrap makes the rod "special"? Earthshattering!!

I would delete that bookmark and move on. They look like crap to me. Word to the wise here, times are tough and your money is valuable to you. You WILL get what you pay for. The Penn mariners are good rods for the money. They have solid glass blanks and hold up well.

    Grady,
One of my goals that night was to meet you!!! I tried to talk to everyone. Im glad you saw value in the demo!! I believe in giving back tothe trade, just as you did with your video on the ramp. I hope your daughter got over that cold that she had while filming!!! LOL

You can tell that the cheap rods really get my blood boiling! Everyone in the business is trying to go for a less expensive rod and my thought is that people that pay for a custom rod want quality and customization, not a cheap price. If they want cheap, they would be going to walmart.
To those that don't know me, I always say what I feel. Its my downfall and most of the time, it bites me in the butt.
my 2 cents, now Im going back under my rock!!!
