New Winthrop Guides
The new Winthrop Tool guides are starting to become available, here is the first rod I have built with them. The guides utilize the same frames as the Excel series but have a sleeve bearing roller. (You have to be told the difference as you they look and work exactly like the Excels.) Finish work is impeccable as we have come to expect from Winthrop tool. For the tip you will still need to use the Excel series.
I am now using these guides as standard on my custom BahamaRod line as they are just so far beyond everything else available. Color scheme on this build is a purple to green color shift base with green diamond flake under the guides. The blank changes color depending on the viewing angle!
The blank is a custom short 80-130 unlimited by BlackFin and short bent butt by American Tackle.

I've switched all of my builds over to these or the Excel's also. They are just unbeatable and now that they are more economical, they are the complete package. I have 18 sets coming now!!!

Are you guys going to WT or does a supplier have them in stock??

Economical, yes and no! Its the Excel with the aluminum tube. Its still a little pricy, but it is one hell of a good tip top.
Just putting those rollers in your hands, and the difference is clear. These guides are the shiznit!!!
