Very Cool Thread, thanks for sharing
Living The Good Life One Fish At A Time
I always wanted to try to make my own lures and with this tutorial I think I might be able to do it. I’m looking forward to the tutorial on how to make the birds for my daisy chains. Thank you
feel free to give me a call if you need help or want a few extra tips. One word of caution, it is addicting.

What kind of resin did you use? I tried using alumilite water clear about a year ago and it came out yellowish and a lot of bubbles. Is the blue insert in the one pusher just a smaller poured head that you centered in a larger bottle or is it lead with tape?
I use Silmar 41 Clear Casting Resin from US Composites. No yellowing that I've seen

Alright cool thanks. nail polish is a slick way to color it too. I used dye and glitter but it didn't turn out to great. I got a hold of some super pearl powder so I'm thinking I can make some cool stuff with that.
Silmar41 is the only resin I use. I also use nail polish as my resin dye. The cheaper the nail polish the better it dyes. Places like FiveBelow and Dollar Tree are great for finding wild bright colors. Also, if you want to add some sparkle to your lure heads, add some clear sparkle nail polish.
I will post the bird instructions in two weeks after I get home from OBX.
Very interesting idea. I have never done it but sure makes me want to try. Thanks for the information.
Very cool and almost exactly how I got started!
