    need new reel for jigging

    how are you all . this is my first topic here and i need to get a new spinning reel for jigging and my budget is 300$ for the reel what do you see?

    It really depends on what you want to target but with all the intangibles I would say Saragoosa 18000.

    some friends told me about saragosa and one of them told me that there is bearing defect is it true???

    If you put a large bluefin on it the bearing would likely go

    For anything ELSE you would be good. Best spinner for the money, period.

    Yea the saragosa is a great reel. I own two 18000s and love them never had a problem. Caught lots of tuna on them including my personel best 98lbs on a popper.

    this sound good what rod do you have and what kind of braid line you put?

    I got power pro 80lb for jigging and 65lb for throwing poppers. My rod is a oti 5'3" xh for jigging and shimano terez 6'6" for popping. I'm an inshore guide that likes too jig and pop for fun there are some jig/pop pro's here who can give you better info on rods and line. Paul at jpr rods or mike at Riley Rods makes some great rods.

    Thank You For all your Answers i got saragosa 18000 yesterday and iam waiting to get jigging rod i need not expensive rod any advice ??
