    That looks great, nice job with the marbleing. Is that white or silver over black, tough to tell from the pics?

    Just a tip - the reel winds towards the pointy end

    HAHAHA I didn't even notice the reel. Sometimes it's the obvious things that get overlooked

    Thanks. And thanks for everyone's help. I picked up a lot of it right here. I just hope it holds together when a bluefin tags it. Rod #2 started last nite

    Actually the drag lever increasing goes towards the pointy end..if I recall correctly someone made a reel that reeled backwards in a diffrent gear..

    no really ..lol..just creating buzz..not to be misleading or jeopardizing patents, trademarks or copyrights..

    Man what an awesome looking rod! Wish my first one had turned out that good. Now the addiction will really start to kick in, especially turning out rods that look like that.
