Marbling: Too much of a good thing

I'm still experimenting. I seem to have a habit of overdoing it I was curious what an entire rod might look like marbled. So, I just kept going, and going, and going.

I'm going to scratch this idea and stick with marbling above the grip. But I thought you might like to see what it looks like.

I think it looks cool - it will be very unique.

Ok...here's a dumb question from the clueless peanut gallery ...does the marbling affect the flexibility of the rod? Personally, I think it looks bad ass and very unique...just wondering. Thanks for sharing!!!

    Looks okay in pictures

I wonder how it would look if you marbled the blank and put conventional thread wraps over that.

It could end up looking like crap, but on the other hand maybe the best of both worlds.
IE8 says this may be a phishing site....Well, DUH!!!!!!... Stupid jerks can't even spell fishing right.

You should try it - just takes a little practice.

Shimano is doing something very similar with their newer rods. The blanks have a metallic pigment swirled the length of the blank and the wraps are just straight thread.

    Hell, I like it.

There used to be a company in Miami that sold rods like that, and they wee very proud of them$$$. They also looked badass like yours.
