    Marbling Help

I'm going to try this marbling thing. I gotta say, it looks VERY cool. And those Armbreaker rods (and others) look dynamite. I get the basic concept of mixing pigments and the easy stuff. I was wondering if you anyone could share some tips, tricks and techniques on how to get those stunning looks and marbling effects. Like Shoe said, it's easy. But not easy to do well.

I just started experimenting last week, so would also be interested in hearing how to step it up a notch. I have a hard time telling what looks good and what doesn't

The links near the end of this thread were very helpful to me

One tip that helps me when I marble is to wrap with a thread that will be of similar color as your base pigment color. This gives the base color a more bolder look when applied over similar colored wraps.
(I am currently marbling a spinning rod in my Stand up spinning rod from blank to finish thread and will be glad to show you how I do it) The marbling pics will be up in a few days...

That would be awesome. I started experimenting. Here's the first crack at it. It looks like a picture of Jupiter. Haha I got a way to go before I try it for real.
