Lure identification
Please help me idenify the manufacturer of this lure and where I may possibly purchase another one. I bought this lure and another that was slightly larger at a Walmart in Arizona. As you can see it has green prism tape on one side and on the reverse it has silver. There are no markings on this lure anywhere. They came in several colors. My dilemma is that I was catching trout left and right the other day with larger version of this lure and I got it hung up and lost it. My local Walmart has a very limited selection of fishing equipment so I was hoping that someone would recognize this lure so that I can purchase another. Thanks for your help.

Sit down Shut up And fish
Ok, So far its not Mepps, Panther Martin or Northland. Was it part of a kit? I'm leaning to some china no name because there are no company marks on it. I went to walmart online to see what brands, they are carrying but so far I have not found anything for you. I'm still looking.

Crab mustard is good
very interesting design. I'm not a spoon fisherman though. that design might be common for all i know about spoons.

Thanks for looking. As I recall, they were packaged as singles. It was some obscure company. For some reason I keep thinking that they were made in the U.S.

My best friend has a 65 footer
mystery spoon....
That's an interesting design.... Here's how I'd go about finding where/who it came from. Every store has buyers for the different departments (as big as Walmart is the buyer might be far removed from your local store) and I'd do my best to contact whoever that is... The first step would be to talk to the store manager if the clerk who handles the sporting goods doesn't have the info, then move up the line. Unlike an ordinary tackle shop where the owner or someone else inside the store could tell you in a moment where a specific item came from (and gladly order as many as you want if they're still available), "big box" stores rarely have anyone local that can provide that info....
If all else fails try www.lurepartsonline.com... They're a catalogue retail outfit that sells all the parts for guys that make their own lures. They've got several pages of spoon blanks but nothing like what you're showing... They should be able to hook you up with an outfit that can certainly duplicate what you have, though (just depends on how many you want....).

Anthony's Ark is a blowboater
I like the idea of the 2 plates clicking together and creating noise I have never seen a double plate spoon before.
I would say never mind looking for a replacement, that could be made at home very easily from some very rudimentary raw materials and prism tape is available at any decent tackle shop.

Thanks for the really good advice guys. I think I'll gather up some materials and build a couple. However, if anyone does know what the thing is please let me know.

Anthony's Ark is a blowboater
I have seen this done before. It was probably purchased as two single spoons and then they were joined together with the o-rings. I would go out and buy to Lure Jensen's Krocodile Spoons and put them together. I have done that often for jigging and casting when I need a little extra noise or need to get the lure a little deeper.
