Screamer, both replys were good advise. Paul's a top rod builder. I have a shop in Point Pleasant beach, N.J. My offshore rods are Calstar blanks, usually teamed with Aftco components. Custom is the way to go.You should talk to the builder and see what you get for you money. Good luck,

I have some used rods if interested......

I have 2 pairs of white Fenwick Fenglass 80# rods and 130# rods as well as a pair of brown Fenwicks. I would like to keep them as pairs and sell together rather than one-sies. Make an offer if you are interested in any of them and let me know if you would like photos.

I also have 3 custom 80# rods with Fin-Nor guides. Very nice stuff. I would like all three to go at once so I have them priced accordingly. Here's the deal - 1 rod for $200.00 or 2 rods for $350.00 or all three rods for only $400.00. Photo below.

PM me for more info, photos, shipping details.

Need some info first..How do you plan to fish them..Stand-up pvt boat, head boat..Will you use wind-on leaders?..

A good start is a Calstar or Seeker Composite blank with aftco wind-on guides..5 1/2 ' to 6 1/2' pvt short rod, head boat long rod..I f your going to go custom meet the rod builder .. Custom is just that custom ...
Seeker makes the blacksteel its a great stand-up blank..The seeker you can buy stock ..
There are many different options take your time & dont rush into anything..

I know for me fishing has been doo doo. 7 days of fishing and not one fish to show for it, other than the fish I speared.
