    line clips

hi all, noobie to the forum. i am from wisconsin and spend my winters surf fishing texas. i am looking for some line clips or snaps that are used for fastening hooks or lure to swivels and things. they are shaped like a small paper clip and come in 2 sizes. i bought some 2 years ago from a tackle company here in texas, but cannot remenber their name. (old age could be a factor) any help would appreciated.

I'm not exactly sure what you are asking for, generally the best connection is a good knot. Can you explain your setup a little better? Maybe I can help you figure out the best method for what you are trying to do.

Mabey you are asking about a Coastlock or "snap swivel". For the most part I do not connect them directly to hooks/lures as it is more tackle that is necessarily needed at the business end and can be a fish deterrent as opposed to a solid low profile knot.
I only use these in offshore applications when trolling to connect the mainline (doubled line to ball bearing snap swivel) to a leader.
Do a google search for snap swivel and if that is what you are talking about, we can guide you in a better direction.
    Good luck and welcome
