    Level line reel?

I would like to purchase a level line reel w/ counter for salt water. Any suggestions?

Look at the Daiwa Saltist Levelwind Line Counter. There's a couple of sizes to suit your preference

I love my Shimano Tekota's with the line counters for trolling for Stripers.

    My suggestion

Make sure you don't use it on any fish larger or faster than a rockfish. Line levelers are unacceptable for bluewater fish.

20 years ago I would have agreed with you. However many of todays swaltwater levelers are geared to handled big fish like tuna, sails or dorado. They are particular great for when you have kids on board the boat.
