The photos don't do the rods justice.

Damn...my holidays are all jacked up...the calendar says we're getting close to the 4th of July, yet, it feels like Christmas around my house with all these presents coming in! They look sweet Fred, we can't wait to throw some reels on and try them out. I can tell you that mine has been mated with its Shimano reel and it is heading to the lake in about 5 hours for some striper fishing...hopefully there will be a "catching" report to follow. Btw, keep Koa away from them or you'll be building another rod for Hooper. All kidding aside...thanks again, they all look amazing!!!

No doubt...Fred has really hooked me up. I'm sad to say I just got back and I'll be posting a GREAT fishing report with a bad "catching" conclusion. I am happy to say though, that the rod Fred made for me was amazing, the Shimano reel was a perfect match. I'm beat...up at 0330 and just got back, report/pictures coming tomorrow.

clt_capt does very nice work...he'll be the first one to tell you that the color choice's were NOT his. Poor guy is making rods for a colorblind guy and three girls. Two are for my daughters, and the other is for fishergirl. Irregardless of the color choice, the rods are all TOP SHELF and look AMAZING in person! I can't wait to see the kids expressions later on this week when their's arrive.

Sorry you didn't catch anything - just glad the rod works as expected. How do you like the feel of the grip after a casting session?

The grips felt very smooth and comfortable...no complaints!

That is the understatement of the year!!! Seriously, when clt_capt sent me my rod, about a month ago, I was blown away with it. Look, I'm a 22 year, veteran Air Force guy, every rod I've ever owned up until this point came off the shelf at your local sporting goods store...UNTIL NOW. Today, the UPS guy showed up with a 7' box. I opend it up and found these four beauties!! Fred, I can not thank you enough!!!!! I know its not a "matching" set, but these are personalized for my kid's and fishergirl, JUST the way we asked for them. Totally exceeded my/our expectations, and of course, they are Hooper approved!!! Sorry everyone, I don't have a nifty, high dollar camera, this is the best I can do, picture wise. Again, these pictures do NOT do these rods justice, they are SWEET!!!! clt_capt...THANKS...you and others on this site do AWESOME things for us in the military, believe me, it IS appreciated!!!

    **NOTE**
I almost wish I didn't have them personalized...if you look at pic #7 you'll see "triple d", "chukie", "fishergirl," and "vanna." I can't just claim them as my own...

I'm glad Hooper approves - I hope the kids a Fishergirl do too.

Looks like a fishing trip is in order
