    Jigging rods from FINRAZOR

As a few of you know, we are working with Seabiscuit Nick here on the board in coming up with a rod that serves the purpose of East Coast jigging and bottom fishing. Nick makes 75ish trips offshore a year bottom fishing and jigging and has been a valuable resource in this process. As jigging has caught the industry by suprise, high volume rod manufacturers strive to cover a broad client base. However, our focus remains geared towards local, skilled fishermen that productively fish our waters. In doing so, we spend a great deal of time and money putting our product into their hands to come up with the best rods for the money we can. Anyway, I've had a couple of requests for pics on what we're bustin out so here are a few... Blanks are Super Seeker and Calstar Graphiter. The final product is a short time away from introduction. The first rod (40-100 Calstar) is a super light 11.5 oz rod. We'll do this with the Alps or Fuji (10 oz total rod weight) reel seat. The second is the Super Seeker (50-80) bottom fisher. These rods will feature triangular foregrips (if you haven't tried them, you'll soon be hooked), Fuji guides and choice of reel seats. We will put these rods up against ANY of those Japanese $600+ rods at a lot less.

    We hope you like...

    Grasshopper,
The answer is YES. The first rod shown up here is the one. Only difference is his has a roller tip on it and the Fuji reel seat... That would make it the 10 oz. total weight rod.

Here's the short and skinny on the high end of these..

    Rod spec:
    6' overall length
    Calstar 40-100 "Graphiter" blank
    Fuji casting guides
Optional ring tip or Aftco roller tip
    Triangular foregrip
    Fuji or Alps reel seat
Sharkskin, no slip, butt (14-18" long)
    Aluminum gimbal
    Choice of colors and lettering
    Lifetime warranty

Cost would be right around $ 400 ea. This set up is on par with the highest end Jap jiggin outfits out there, yet tested and made for what we see here on the East Coast.

Now... changing out the blank for a Seeker (not the Super Seeker), going with a traditional slick butt will knock off around $ 100.
