    jigging reel

Considering the trinidad 40n or the torsa 20. Both have the same drag capacity and essentially the same line capacity. I will be mostly jigging for grouper and other bottom species and tuna when I get the chance. I have a torium 30 but it is just a little too wide for me.

You already know what I think! I use a high speed saltist 30 for most of my jigging, but plan to use the saltiga for tunas.
Have not been let down by the saltist yet!

seabiscuit, I know you love the saltists and I am considering it. I have just had issues with diawas in the past even though I know these are a different story. I can get a pretty good deal on the shimanos and have always had good luck with them.

If you like the Shimano reels give the Ocea Jigger a try. It's a real workhorse!

What is the difference between the trinidad and the ocea jigger? Also, does anyone know the drag capacity of the diawa saltiga 40?

OJ's usually have 2 more ballbearings and a spool lock feature, that the trini's dont have..and we get the smaller ones in a 5.1 gear ..i am not sure of the slaty 40 drag..i will check..i use the 30T and they have the same drags
