    ICRBE question about a blank

I am looking to build an offshore popping rod for myself and would love to be able to check a few out at the Rod show in High Point and choose one there. Can I get a little help on what blanks are available around 8' in length and have about a 100g lure rating...maybe a little more. I am also open to a butt joint two peice design but don't know anything about them. Thanks in advance for any help that you can give and I look forward to meeting some of you at the show.

MITCH, IN THE 8' LENGTH, OTI IS THE PRIMARY SOURCE. I WILL LOOK AROUND ON FRIDAY AND POINT YOU IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION ON SATURDAY. STOP BY AND SEE ME. LOOK FOR THE ANGLER'S ENVY BANNER.

Thats very nice of you Kevin! I was planning on stopping by to instroduce myself anyways. I'm also going to catch your abalone seminar Sat. morning. Thanks for your help! I'm sure I am going to be overwhelmed being at my first rod show and having only a year under my belt at my new hobby

Thanks for the info Paul. I was hoping you were going to be at the show this year so I had a better chance of seeing some of those OTI blanks. Another time...

I like the idea of the butt joint simply for transporting and storing it but have always prefered one piece rods. I'd love to check out those new ones you are talking about and hopefully they will be at the show also.

    Thanks,
    Mitch
